Today Grandma Hackett threw a "Tea Party" for her gal friends... all to show off her first, new Grandson! Of course I was not attending, so I had a nice break. I was, however, told that Elijah was a hit! I expected none less! =)

Okay, so Elijah is LOVING toys! Grandma Hackett brought over a stationary activity center for Elijah to play in. He is the CUTEST THING EVER! I love watching how excited he gets... and watching him figure things out. I think we have a genius on our hands! ;)

My friend, Aubrey, recently had her baby (little miss Ella)!
Ella joined us on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 6:26 am...
and I finally have PICTURES!!! =)
Ella weighed in at 5lbs 13 oz, and was 19 inches long!

Today, after "walker" shopping, we went to the Abbott's to celebrate their son, Landon's, 2nd birthday!
It was in Douglasville, so we had a bit of a drive ahead of us (Nothing too bad, but I DID have extra time in the car). Daddy (Mike) was playing chauffeur, So what to do???
PHOTO SHOOT... of course!!! lol. (I'm a dork, I KNOW!)
We had a blast! The pool was in use, the sprinklers and slip-n-slides were out, and the grill was lit up! Hamburgers, cake, drinks, and friends!
...Good times!
Thank goodness Elijah was being SO good! Of course he was adored by all... and yes, even by Landon, who kept wanting to "rub" him! It was just precious!

Okay, so we had many things on our "to do" list today, but shopping for more toys was one of them! After seeing how amazing Elijah is in his jumper, we decided to go shopping for walkers. We haven't decided on any yet, but below is a favorite of Mikes thus far.

Okay, so now that Elijah's had a few days to practice, it is official. He has recently been titled "Pro Jumper"! ...I'm so proud of him! My baby has "skills"! ;)

Elijah apparently cannot get enough of his Jumper. He gets so excited and drools EVERYWHERE (Notice drool FALLING from his chin)!!! lol...
Regardless, I LOVE it b/c I can wear him out so that he'll take a really nice, LONG nap! (Selfish???) haha.
Maybe, but at least it's good for him, too!

Oh yes, people... "THE JUMPER" is a true God Send! Elijah LOVES it!
Mike and I thought Elijah might be a little young for it, but:
1. He loves to stand (assisted, of course)
2. He has great head/neck control
3. He REALLY needed an outlet to burn energy.
SOoooo... we thought we'd buy one and see how he reacted in it. Well, the pics are below. You tell me! I think we have a WINNER! ;)

It seems like only yesterday that Mike and I were giving Elijah his first "REAL" bath. I can't believe how much he's grown... ALREADY!

Today the gals and I got glammed up for our outing to see none other than...
"SEX AND THE CITY" the movie! It was AWESOME!
Aaahhh.... It's the perfect movie! What woman wouldn't like to see a movie about "grown up things (hint, hint)", shoes, and fashion?!
Oh yes, but if you'd like to know how it ends... Sorry! I don't "see and tell"! You'll have to watch it for yourself!

Elijah figured he wanted to "roll" into June in style! YES, he is now rolling over on his own! Yay! (He was doing it with much less effort, but the only video I captured he was struggling a bit! Regardless, he's doing it!) Good job, buddy!

Okay, so it's either super LATE or super EARLY! (It's about 1 am)... and Elijah is really laughing! haha. He's been laughing, but more like "ha". Not a "ha ha ha ha" laugh. He typically freezes in front of the camera, so I snuck this footage in! Gosh he's a cutie!

We have this stuffed army bear that Mike gave me when he was away in Kuwait. We FINALLY gave in to the tempation and removed it's hat to put on Elijah... and it FIT! lol.
Then we found some dog tags (not Mike's Army ones)... and the photo shoot began!

Today I had to run some errands, so Grandma Hackett came over to watch Elijah for a bit.
Needless to say (by looking at the picture), he was TIRED! lol. I couldn't resist grabbing my camera, as his face was cracking me up!
Earlier that day my dad stopped by! It was a lovely surprise, as I hadn't seen him in a while! We were trying to get Elijah to laugh, but he was sleepy... no luck!

Date Day!

We woke up super early and went to the Hackett Granparents house to drop off Elijah for the day! Today was "Date Day", and I was "Oh so ready"! 
First we drove up to Dahlonega to The Wolf Mountain Vineyard and Winery. We got to look around on their Vineyard and eat brunch on the cafe's patio, overlooking the mountains. It was absolutely breathtaking! The food was "delish"! In addition, I ordered some of the Wolf Mountain Wine... and let me tell you: FABULOUS! Too bad I'm a light weight... I was buzzed on half a glass! I'm going to have to get more (You can find it at Harry's Farmers Market and Whole Foods).
Once our bellies were full we rented some bikes and went to the Silver Comet Trail for 1.5 hours of exercise and fun!
Afterwards we had to rush home to clean up so we could make it to the movies on time. We saw "What happens in Vegas".

Super cute! It was supposed to be a romantic comedy, but Mike and I both thought it was more "comedy".

It was SO nice to have a day to ourselves... but I was SO ready to see our little guy! We both missed him so much!!!
Funny... when we got to the grandparents house we raced each other inside, both wanting to be the first to hold him!
Lol... he was asleep. Oh well.
